CLARK ART INSTITUTE PRESENTs Two Virtual Writing Programs in April 

Williamstown, Massachusetts—The Clark Art Institute offers two free virtual writing sessions inspired by April showers at noon on Tuesday, April 6, and Tuesday, April 13. Each session features different works from the Clark’s collection as inspiration for workshops led by members of the Clark’s Education Department.

 The interactive virtual program is open to all regardless of experience and offers participants a focused writing session to encourage their creativity as they write their way through a series of open-ended prompts inspired by selected paintings and works-on-paper that feature skyscapes. Participants may share their writing with the group at the conclusion of the program or they can opt to remain anonymous. In addition, all participants will be provided with additional nature writing prompts to use on a rainy day.

Online registration is required; space is limited to 15 participants per session. Registration for each session closes at noon the day before or when capacity is reached. Registrants will receive an email with a private link to this live virtual program before the event. Visit clarkart.edu/events to register. 

ABOUT THE CLARK

The Clark Art Institute, located in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts, is one of a small number of institutions globally that is both an art museum and a center for research, critical discussion, and higher education in the visual arts. The Clark, which has a three-star rating in the Michelin Green Guide, is located at 225 South Street in Williamstown, Massachusetts. Its 140-acre campus includes miles of hiking and walking trails through woodlands and meadows, providing an exceptional experience of art in nature. Galleries are open Tuesday through Sunday, 10 am to 5 pm. Admission is $20; free year-round for Clark members, children 18 and younger, and students with valid ID. Free admission is available through several programs, including First Sundays Free; a local library pass program; and EBT Card to Culture.
