The Clark welcomes school groups of all ages for free, year-round. All school visits must be scheduled through the Education Department at least two weeks in advance. As of November 1, all visitors twelve and older are required to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 before visiting the museum. After February 15, all visitors five and older will be required to provide proof of vaccination. Please send a signed letter to Lily McGartland in advance of your visit affirming that all students and chaperones in your group are vaccinated against COVID-19.
Engaging with art enhances learning, offers expanded dimensions for understanding, knowledge, and skill building, and can connect to most subject areas across the grades. Our education programs can be tailored to support areas of your curriculum and particular learning goals, as well as state and federal standards. Popular thematic areas are drawn from our collection as well as special exhibitions.
Please contact us to arrange a visit for your students.
There are many ways for youth groups to enjoy a visit to the Clark; docent-led gallery talks are available year-round and are offered free of charge. To learn more or to book a visit, please contact Lily McGartland by phone 413 458 0563 or email.
We encourage school groups to visit the museum in person and we provide transportation reimbursement. For groups who cannot make an in-person visit, a digital engagement can be arranged. Check out our list of featured talks and suggested themes in the PDFs section below and read the Teacher Guidelines for more information.
