The Clark welcomes school groups of all ages for free, year-round.
Engaging with art enhances learning, offers expanded dimensions for understanding and skill building, and can connect to most subject areas across the grades. Discuss with our Education Coordinator how to tailor engagement experiences to support an area of the curriculum and particular teaching and learning goals. Popular thematic areas are drawn from our collection.
Until we can safely welcome groups for guided experiences in the galleries again, we are pleased to offer three kinds of learning experiences: live virtual engagements with a focused selection of objects from our permanent collection or special exhibitions that meet your teaching goals; Clark Connects digital activities that can be accessed anytime and adapted to your curriculum; in-person experiences with our outdoor contemporary art installation, Ground/work (either self-guided or guided). You may also visit the museum with your students self-guided. Speak with the Education Coordinator about the learning resources that we can provide.
All programs for students and their teachers are free. Whether arranging guided digital experiences or self-guided visits to the museum, school groups must schedule through the Education Department.
Please contact us to arrange an individualized experience for your students.
Please see our list of featured talks and suggested themes for digital engagement in the PDFs section below. All experiences for students and their teachers are free of charge—we ask you to read the Teacher Guidelines for more information. Clark staff work with teachers to tailor each talk to particular areas of the school curriculum, individual classroom projects, and state education standards.

There are many ways for youth groups to enjoy a visit to the Clark; docent-led gallery talks (currently offered remotely) are available year round and are offered free of charge. To learn more or to book a visit, please contact the Education Department at 413 458 0563 or email the department.
