Williamstown, Massachusetts—The Clark Art Institute continues its series of free monthly drawing sessions for artists of all skill levels, with a session on Friday, January 10, at 10:30 am.

The hour-long open-practice sessions are held in the Manton Study Center for Works on Paper at the Clark and explore a different theme each month. January’s theme is “Architecture.” Participants will view a selection of prints, drawings, and photographs from the Clark’s collection showcasing architectural forms to use as inspiration.

Participants may practice fundamentals and explore new ideas or take part in the artistic tradition of copying earlier works. Basic materials are provided. Artists bringing their own supplies should note that only graphite pencils are allowed in the Study Center and museum galleries.

Future themes are “Double Portraits” on February 14, part of special Valentine’s Day programming all day at the Clark, and “Costume” on March 13.

All sessions are from 10:30 to 11:30 am. Space is limited to 15 participants; reservations are required. Visit clarkart.edu or call 413 458 0524 to register.
