‘MUSEUM STORE SUNDAY’ AT CLARK ART INSTITUTE OFFERS DISCOUNT ON ALL STORE PURCHASES

November 7, 2018

Williamstown, Massachusetts—The Clark Art Institute announces its participation in Museum Store Sunday, an international shopping and cultural campaign created by the Museum Store Association (MSA), on Sunday, November 25 from 10 am–5 pm. In keeping with this year’s theme, “25 on the 25th,” visitors receive 25 percent off all purchases made in the Clark’s Museum Store, including jewelry, home decor, gifts, and fine art books.

More than 700 museum stores will offer inspired shopping at museums and cultural institutions. In partnership with the United Kingdom’s Association for Cultural Enterprises and the Museum Shops Association of Australia and New Zealand, MSA’s Museum Store Sunday promotes conscientiously supporting museum stores and the missions of associated museums worldwide.

Ione Saroyan, president of the MSA Board of Directors and director of Merchandise Operations at the New York Historical Society Museum and Library, said, “After our launch success in 2017, we are excited to welcome a growing number of great institutions to be a part of Museum Store Sunday 2018. This initiative gives people a chance to support local businesses, give back to the community through local non-profit museums, support good causes, find unique holiday gifts,
and enjoy an entertaining and educational experience at favorite museums—all at the same time.”
