CLARK ART INSTITUTE ANNOUNCES 2018–19 MET: LIVE IN HD SEASON

Williamstown, Massachusetts—The Clark Art Institute will air the complete 2018–19 season of ten live performances from The Metropolitan Opera, held on select Saturdays beginning in October 2018 and concluding in May 2019, in high definition from the Clark’s state-of-the-art auditorium. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, July 18; to Clark members on Monday, July 16; and to qualified Met members on Thursday, July 12.

Tickets for each performance are $25 ($22 for Clark members and $18 for students with valid ID). A season pass, which includes tickets for all ten performances, is $225 ($195 for members and $160 for students with valid ID). Season tickets must be purchased from July 18–31 for the general public and July 16–31 for Clark members.

Now entering its thirteenth season, The Met: Live in HD is The Metropolitan Opera’s Peabody and Emmy Award-winning series of live performances transmitted to theaters in seventy countries around the world. Live telecasts feature the full performance along with backstage interviews and commentary.

ABOUT THE CLARK

The Clark Art Institute, located in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts, is one of a small number of institutions globally that is both an art museum and a center for research, critical discussion, and higher education in the visual arts. Opened in 1955, the Clark houses exceptional European and American paintings and sculpture, extensive collections of master prints and drawings, English silver, and early photography. Acting as convener through its Research and Academic Program, the Clark gathers an international community of scholars to participate in a lively program of conferences, colloquia, and workshops on topics of vital importance to the visual arts. The Clark, which has a three-star rating in the Michelin Green Guide, is located at 225 South Street in Williamstown, Massachusetts. Galleries are open Tuesday through Sunday, 10 am to 5 pm; open daily in July and August. Admission is $20; free year-round for Clark members, children 18 and younger, and students with valid ID.
