JOIN FELLOW ART LOVERS FOR ‘LOOKING AND LUNCHING’ AT CLARK ART INSTITUTE

April 6, 2018

Williamstown, Massachusetts—As the Clark Art Institute’s special exhibition Drawn to Greatness: Master Drawings from the Thaw Collection enters its final week on view, art lovers are offered a special opportunity for up-close observation of two of the works in the exhibition. On Thursday, April 19 at 12 pm, join Michael Hartman, curatorial intern and second year MA candidate, for a session of “Looking and Lunching,” a half-hour discussion in the galleries followed by continued discussion over lunch. Hartman discusses two works by German Romantic landscape artist Caspar David Friedrich in the Eugene V. Thaw Gallery, located in the Manton Research Center.

This event is free with paid gallery admission. Plan to arrive early to pre-order and purchase your meal, or bring your own lunch. Limited seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Drawn to Greatness, featuring 150 exceptional drawings from the Renaissance through the twentieth century, is on view through Sunday, April 22.
