CLARK ART INSTITUTE AND IS183 TO PRESENT STERLING SILVER JEWELRY-MAKING CLASS AT THE CLARK

April 12, 2018

Williamstown, Massachusetts—The Clark Art Institute and IS183 Art School of the Berkshires present “Designing Sterling Silver Bands,” a one-day workshop, at the Clark on Sunday, April 29 from 10 am–4 pm. Tuition is $105 ($80 for Clark or IS183 members) plus $40 materials and equipment usage fee. The class will be held in Hunter Studio, located in the Lunder Center at Stone Hill on the Clark’s campus.

IS183 instructor James Kennedy guides participants in creating and designing silver bands, experimenting with texture and width while learning the basics of cutting, hammering, and shaping metal. This workshop welcomes the total beginner as well as the more experienced student with a specific design in mind. Participants may decide to spend time exclusively on one piece or create a few very simple bands.
