CLARK ART INSTITUTE OFFERS FREE DRAWING CLASSES

December 20, 2018

Williamstown, Massachusetts—The Clark Art Institute invites artists of all skill levels to participate in a series of three free drawing classes, offered at 10:30 am on Fridays, January 11, February 8, and March 8. The hour-long classes will be held in the Manton Study Center for Works on Paper. Space is limited to 12 participants; reservations are required. To reserve, visit clarkart.edu or call 413 458 0524.

Classes are based on drawings from the Clark’s permanent collection. Each month explores a different theme: still life (January), portraiture (February), and landscape (March). Participants may engage in the artistic tradition of copying original drawings or choose to practice fundamentals, sketch from life, and explore new ideas. Basic materials are provided; artists bringing their own supplies should note that only graphite pencils are allowed in the Study Center and museum galleries.
