LANDSCAPE WALK AT CLARK ART INSTITUTE FOCUSES ON SUSTAINABILITY

Williamstown, Massachusetts—Clark Art Institute horticulturist and Grounds Manager Matthew Noyes leads a free exploration of the Clark’s sustainability efforts on Saturday, August 5 at 11 am. Noyes takes participants on a walk around the campus, focusing on the Institute’s “green” initiatives including soil improvement and management, water management and recycling, the planting of 1,000 new trees, and reducing mowing of tall meadow grasses to preserve fossil fuels. Noyes will also take visitors to the pump room to explain how water management systems are environmentally responsible.

ABOUT THE CLARK
The Clark Art Institute, located in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts, is one of a small number of institutions globally that is both an art museum and a center for research, critical discussion, and higher education in the visual arts.
