January 5, 2017

Williamstown, Massachusetts—Join certified instructors from Frog Lotus Yoga for a unique experience at the Clark Art Institute: a series of classes combining the practices of loving kindness meditation and hatha yoga. Weekly classes will be held on Thursdays from January 19 through February 9 at 11 am in the Michael Conforti Pavilion. Attend all four classes for $40 (Clark members $30) or drop in for $12 per class (Clark members $8). Reserve online at clarkart.edu or call 413 458 0524 to register.

Metta bhavana, or loving kindness meditation, is derived from Buddhist tradition. It is a meditation of care, tenderness, and friendship that focuses on a feeling of warmth for oneself and others. Hatha yoga, the most popular form of yoga practiced in the West, focuses on asanas (physical postures) and is widely seen as a form of exercise greatly beneficial to the health of the mind, body, and spirit.

Designed to reduce stress and encourage a greater sense of peaceful well-being, this series of gentle classes is open to all. Please bring a yoga mat if you have one.

Frog Lotus Yoga is located in North Adams, Massachusetts. Experienced, trained instructors teach several forms of yoga and Pilates in a large, sunlit studio. Frog Lotus offers 200-hour Yoga Alliance Approved Yoga Teacher Trainings Intensives, both at the studio and in exotic locations.
