CLARK ART INSTITUTE PARTNERS WITH IS183 TO OFFER WATERCOLOR CLASS

Williamstown, Massachusetts—“From Gallery to Landscape,” a watercolor class for all skill levels, will be held at the Clark Art Institute on Saturday, September 23 from 10 am to 2 pm. Led by instructor Marilyn Orner Cromwell of IS183 Art School of the Berkshires, the class combines art appreciation and creation. Tuition is $75 ($65 members); combination tuition for an adult accompanied by a child aged 10–18 is $125 ($105 members). Tuition includes all materials and observation in the galleries. Students begin by observing and discussing the use of color and composition in selected artworks in the Clark’s galleries. A demonstration and basic instruction on painting techniques follows. Using watercolor and portable materials, students work outdoors on the museum campus.

ABOUT THE CLARK

The Clark Art Institute, located in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts, is one of a small number of institutions globally that is both an art museum and a center for research, critical discussion, and higher education in the visual arts.
