April 14, 2017

Williamstown, Massachusetts—From EXHIBITION ON SCREEN comes The Artist’s Garden: American Impressionism, a new film that will be shown at the Clark Art Institute on Sunday, April 30 at 3 pm in the auditorium. Tickets are $12 ($10 members) and can be purchased online at clarkart.edu or by calling 413 458 0524.

The film is based on the popular exhibition The Artist’s Garden: American Impressionism and the Garden Movement from the Florence Griswold Museum in Connecticut, widely considered a home of American Impressionism.
The story of American Impressionism is closely tied to a love of gardens and a desire to preserve nature in a rapidly urbanizing nation. Traveling to studios, gardens, and treasured locations throughout the Eastern United States, the United Kingdom, and France, this mesmerizing film is a feast for the eyes.
