BROADWAY COMES TO THE BERKSHIRES: BARRYMORE ON SCREEN AT THE CLARK

Williamstown, MA—On Sunday, January 13 at 3 pm, the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute presents the film Barrymore. Tickets are $20 ($18 members and students) and may be ordered at clarkart.edu or by calling 413 458 0524.

Academy Award® Winner Christopher Plummer delivers arguably the most memorable performance of his career in the film that portrays legendary actor John Barrymore, a man of colossal talent and contradictions and one of the greatest Shakespearean actors of all time.

Set in 1942, the final year of Barrymore's life, Barrymore takes place on the stage of a Broadway theater, where the actor is struggling to recreate his performance in the title role of Shakespeare's Richard III. It leads him to look back on the highs and lows of his stunning career and remarkable life. Directed and adapted for the screen by Érik Canuel.
