JOIN IN THE FUN WITH SING-ALONG WIZARD OF OZ DURING PRESIDENTS' WEEK

For Immediate Release

February 11, 2013

Williamstown, MA—The Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute will show a free screening of Sing-Along Wizard of Oz, an interactive film experience based on the most beloved motion picture of all time, on Thursday, February 21 at 2 pm.

Children of all ages and their parents will enjoy Sing-Along Wizard of Oz, a splashy afternoon of theater and film fully restored for the big screen. Audience members are encouraged to wear their favorite characters’ costumes as they celebrate the story of Dorothy and her fantastical journey through the Land of Oz by joining in and singing along to the classic film's songs. Among the famous tracks are “Over the Rainbow,” “If I Only Had a Brain,” and “We’re Off to See the Wizard.”

Released in 1939 by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, The Wizard of Oz continues to delight children around the world almost 75 years later. Dorothy (Judy Garland), her dog, Toto, and her three companions on the yellow brick road to Oz—the Tin Man (Jack Haley), the Cowardly Lion (Bert Lahr), and the Scarecrow (Ray Bolger)—have withstood the test of time and remain icons in the world of children’s fantasy films.
