Xavier Bray is currently Chief Curator at Dulwich Picture Gallery, London until he assumes a new position as Director of the Wallace Collection. He previously held curatorial positions at the National Gallery, London, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Bilbao. He curated The Sacred Made Real: Spanish Painting and Sculpture 1600-1700 (2009) and was also responsible for the recent exhibition Goya: The Portraits (2015-16), both at the National Gallery, London. He is now working on an exhibition on José de Ribera for Dulwich Picture Gallery. At the Clark he will be focusing on Ribera's treatment of religious violence focusing specifically on the image of Saint Bartholomew.
