Thierry Davila is the head of the cultural department at CAPC, Musée d'art contemporain, Bordeaux. His cultural assignments range from curator of several noted modernist exhibitions to assistant director of the Musée Picasso, Antibes. He is also a frequent contributor to such publications as Les Cahiers du Musée National d'Art Moderne (Pompidou Center). His main publications are L'art mèdecine (in collaboration with Maurice Fréchuret) and Marcher, créer. Déplacements, flâneries, dérives dans l'art de la fin du XX siècle. At the Clark, his research will revisit the theory of the object, most especially as a heuristic instrument of the "infra-mince" or the "infra-thin.”
