Miranda Marvin is professor of art and classics and director of the inter-departmental program in classical and Near Eastern archaeology at Wellesley College. She is also a significant contributor to numerous archaeological publications, including Archaeology, American Journal of Archaeology, National Gallery Studies in the History of Art, and Sculpture. While at the Clark, Marvin will further her research tracing the reception of Greek and Roman sculpture from Giorgio Vasari to the present, correcting misapprehensions concerning its sources, references, and inspirations.
