May–June 2005
Jean Pierre Cuzin, who for many years was chief curator of European paintings at the Louvre, is now a conservateur du patrimoine and a specialist both in Raphael and in eighteenth-century French painting, particularly Jean-Honoré Fragonard and François André Vincent. He is the author of books, catalogues, and articles on Raphael, Fragonard, and Georges de la Tour, as well as a catalogue of European paintings in the Louvre, and he is the joint editor of the recently published Dictionnaire de la Peinture (Paris, 2003). While at the Clark he will be pursuing his interests in eighteenth-century French painting.
