Curator of Renaissance and Baroque painting at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, James Clifton is also director of the Sarah Campbell Blaffer Foundation. His project concerned early modern European artists' self-representation, and will result in an exhibition and accompanying catalogue tentatively entitled A Portrait of the Artist: Old Master Prints from the Collection of the Sarah Campbell Blaffer Foundation.
