Pasión por Renoir: La colección del Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute opened at the Prado in Madrid on October 19. Comprised of the Clark’s complete collection of thirty-one Renoirs, the exhibition offers a stunning visual display of some of the great artist’s most important works. Among the iconic works being exhibited are: Self-portrait (ca.1875), Portrait of Madame Monet (Madame Claude Monet Reading) (ca.1874), A Box at the Theater (At the Concert) (1880), Onions (1881), and The Bath (Girl arranging her Hair) (1885). Pasión por Renoir is the first time that the Clark has exhibited its entire collection of works by Renoir outside of the museum. It is also the first Renoir exhibition in Spain.
