Jeong Han Kim is an artist exploring the intersection of art and cognitive science. He participated in the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council’s artist-in-residence program with support from the Rockefeller Brothers Fund Asian Cultural Council. He was a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at DXARTS, University of Washington, Seattle. His work has been exhibited internationally at Infosphere (ZKM, Germany), Media City Seoul, and Whitebox (NYC). Kim holds a PhD in cognitive science from Seoul National University and an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He is a UNESCO expert on the Diversity of Cultural Expression (2024) and AI & Culture (2025). Kim collaborated with the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea, to develop an art appreciation program for visually impaired audiences. He is a professor in the Department of Painting at Seoul National University, researching AI’s impact on artistic agency.
