To celebrate the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Research and Academic Program (RAP) at the Clark, we are gathering for four days under the theme Writing Art History to think together about the ways in which writing art history is changing rapidly.

The celebration continues with a presentation on curating and writing American art in the museum.

Horace Ballard, Theodore E. Stebbins, Jr. Curator of American Art, Harvard University Art Museums, will be in conversation with Layla Bermeo, Kristin and Roger Servison Curator of Painting, Museum of Fine Arts Boston, about their experiences curating and writing about American art in museum contexts.

Free. Advance registration strongly encouraged. Register here. Accessible seats available; for information, call 413 458 0524. A 5 pm reception in the Manton Research Center reading room precedes the event.
