Francesca Dal Lago

Francesca Dal Lago is currently an associate researcher at the Centre de Recherche sur les Civilisations de l'Asie Orientale (CRCAO), Paris. She holds a BA in Chinese Studies from the University of Venice and a Ph.D. in Art History from the Institute of Fine Arts of New York University. Previously she was a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Leiden and assistant professor of Chinese Art History at McGill University. Her research focuses on the history and critical assessment of the modern and contemporary art and visual culture of China. She is currently working on two book projects: a collection of essays on the practices of display of Chinese art and material culture and a monograph, on which she will be focusing while at the Clark, entitled Drawing ModernityFrench Beaux-Arts Education and the Practice of Chinese Modern Art.
