The Manton Study Center for Works on Paper welcomes artists of all experience and skill levels to find inspiration in thematic selections from the Clark’s collection of works on paper. This month, we celebrate the art of printmaker and draughtsman extraordinaire Albrecht Dürer (German, 1471–1528). Test your drawing endürance against a selection of Dürer’s woodcuts, engravings, and etchings, featuring some of the most important images in the history of Western art. Enjoy an open session to participate in the tradition of copying earlier artworks or choose to practice fundamentals and explore ideas.
Basic materials are provided. Artists bringing their own supplies should note that only graphite pencils are allowed in the Study Center.
Free. Advance registration required. Capacity is limited. Registration opens one month prior to the event.
PLEASE NOTE DATE CHANGE: Drawing Closer is typically on the second Friday of each month, but there has been a change in schedule for the month of September.
