In her essay “A Room of One’s Own,” Virginia Woolf wrote, “...one cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.” The Clark and chef Leah Guadagnoli, founder of Hudson, New York’s Fancy Feast Supper Club, welcome you to a vegetarian pop-up dinner inspired by the Bloomsbury Group’s final summer party at Charleston on August 30, 1939.

A collective of writers, artists, and intellectuals—including Woolf, her sister Vanessa Bell, and author E.M. Forster—the Bloomsbury Group was known for its radical ideas and bohemian lifestyle, with the country retreat, Charleston in Sussex, serving as a hub for creative exchange.

Leah Guadagnoli, artist, chef, homesteader, and founder of the Fancy Feast Supper Club, presents recipes adapted from The Bloomsbury Cookbook, paired with a table setting inspired by Charleston's vibrant, decorative design. Known for creating bespoke culinary experiences and incorporating seasonal produce she grows and procures from local farmers, Guadagnoli has collaborated with renowned cookbook authors like Mollie Katzen and hosted dinners at venues such as Storm King, Villa Albertine, and PS21, among others.

Tickets are $45 ($40 members), and include a welcome drink from Berkshire Cider Project, buffet-style dinner and dessert, and exclusive access to the A Room of Her Own exhibition. Additional drinks are available for purchase. Advance registration required. Capacity is limited. No refunds. For accessibility questions, call 413 458 0524. Inclement weather moves the celebration to the Clark Center lower lobby.
