The Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) presents a special concert selection from a new musical with book and lyrics by Rudy Ramirez and music by Ammon Taylor.

What does it take to be "the most dangerous woman in America?" Emma Goldman knows. An activist and an organizer, a lover and a radical, Goldman found anarchism as a teenager in the 1880s and lived her life by its ideals, fighting for freedom, beauty, and equality against the forces of capitalism and the US government. Now, deported to the newly created Soviet Union, Goldman is closer to the world she dreamed of than ever before, but it will take all she's learned to keep it from turning into a nightmare.

This concert presentation features the first act of The Most Dangerous Woman in America and is a part of MOSAIC, MCLA’s community-serving cultural events program and the Benedetti Teaching Artist Residence, a nine-month Visiting Instructor/Artist-in-Residence Fellowship. The performance is directed and designed by MCLA faculty and performed by MCLA students.

Free.
