ALISON O’DANIEL’S THE TUBA THIEVES FILM SCREENING

A hybrid narrative and documentary film, The Tuba Thieves, 2024, is a sonic portrait of Los Angeles. From 2011 to 2013, tubas were stolen from Los Angeles high schools. This is not a story about thieves or missing tubas. Instead, it asks what it means to listen.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Alison O'Daniel and Will Schmenner, Head of Public Programs at the Clark.

Presented in person in the Clark auditorium. A 5:30 pm reception in the Manton Research Center reading room precedes the event.
