october 27, 2026, 5:30–7:00 PM

In this Research and Academic Program lecture, Tiffany Barber (University of California, Los Angeles / Clark Fellow) excavates for the first time the famed sociologist W.E.B. Du Bois’s impact on modern and contemporary art by charting the past, present, and future legacy of his radical turns to art history and exhibition-making as methods for visualizing Pan-African progress and justice.

Presented in person in the Clark auditorium. A 5 pm reception in the Manton Research Center reading room precedes the event.
