In 18th century Europe, porcelain was so valuable it was known as "white gold." Learn why this material that today we take for granted was considered so special. Curator of decorative arts KathleenMorris will use the Clark's collection to tell tales of imprisonment, intrigue, experimentation, diplomacy, and more. Our virtual format will enable a very close look at the materials and decorative techniques employed by the leading makers of this treasured material.

This member-only talk will broadcast live and will be about thirty minutes long. We will email you a private link to the webcast the day before the event.

Reservations are required, please make your reservation by 9 am on October 22.
