Join us for this live, virtual rare book talk as the Clark celebrates the rescheduled run of the 2020 Kentucky Derby with a look at horses found in the library's special collections. Sterling Clark raised thoroughbreds and extended his equestrian passion to his art and rare books collection. Collections Development Librarian, Terri Boccia, shares illustrations from over 450 years of horsemanship. As a treat, we will dive into the Clark's archives for a peek at Mr. Clark's favorite racehorse, his 1954 Epsom Derby winner, Never Say Die.
This member-only talk will broadcast live and will be about thirty minutes long. We will email you a private link to the webcast the day before the event.
Reservations are required, please make your reservation by 9 am on September 10.
