Berkshire Lantern Walk: Community Workshop

Berkshire Lantern Walk: Community Workshop

Wednesday

August 14, 2019

1:00 PM-4:00 PM

Hunter Studio, Lunder Center at Stone Hill

225 South St
Williamstown, MA 01267

Work with artists from the New England Puppet Intensive (NEPI) to create an illuminated sculpture in preparation for the Thursday, August 15 evening Lantern Walk. Before you go to the Lunder Center for the workshop, be sure to explore Janet Cardiff: The Forty Part Motet, the awe-inspiring sound installation that serves as inspiration for this year’s NEPI performance.

If you can’t make the workshop, come early for the Lantern Walk on August 15 and make a simple paper lantern before the walk starts. Educators from the Clark host free lantern-making from 7–9 pm at the Clark Center.

Free and open to the public. All materials provided.

This program is supported by a grant from the Fund for Williamstown, a fund of Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation; the Massachusetts Cultural Council; and the Cultural Council of Northern Berkshire, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
