Join Kristie Couser, curatorial assistant for works on paper, for a talk exploring highlights from the special exhibition Extreme Nature!. Couser explores the pursuit of travel by nineteenth-century artists interested in landscape, such as photographers Timothy O’Sullivan and Eadweard Muybridge, who joined geological survey expeditions in the American West, and Swiss artist Alexandre Calame, renowned for his Alpine views.
