Building's in the Air
Sunday, October 27, 2013
Come to the Clark for our free Family Day from 12–4 pm and you'll see building, building everywhere as we finish up our expansion project. Build a large-scale building of your own during this building extravaganza family event. Draw inspiration from the Clark buildings to spark your creativity. We will have more cardboard than you’ve ever seen, masking tape galore, and plenty of adults on hand to help with cutting.
Prefer something a little smaller? We will also be making beautiful crafts out of cardboard of a quality and finish suitable for gift giving.
AT STONE HILL CENTER
Cardboard Building Challenge: Take a cue from the Clark construction team and let your creativity run wild. Build with cardboard and boxes to create interesting shapes, structures, passageways, forts and more.
Cardboard Crafts: Practice your fine handiwork skills with art projects designed by local artist Claire Fox.
Cardboard Masterpieces: Pick up a sheet of cardboard and emulate Clark cardboard copies by local artist Andrew Davis. Decide which paintings appeal to you and sketch from the real thing in the galleries.
Construction Vehicle Dig in Miniature: It’s time to move some earth! Play in our little construction site, and get ready to say, “VROOM, VROOOOOM!”
Food and beverages will be available for purchase from local vendor Amanda’s on Wheels all day.
