Hands ON! Spring into Art at the Clark
Tuesday, May 7, 2013
Encouraging children to learn and think about works of art, while also encouraging personal interpretations, serves as a springboard for creativity. Exploring and experimenting with mixed media artwork in response to color, shape, texture, and space sparks a journey of discovery through art.
IS183 artist-educator Karen Arp-Sandel leads a series of classes called "Hands ON! Spring into Art at the Clark" on Tuesdays, May 7 to 28 (four sessions) from 3:30–5 pm in the Clark Café. She will encourage children to look at art in the gallery, observe architecture on the Clark campus, and explore landscape design. Students should expect to paint with watercolors, use oil pastels, sketch, and make collages.
Classes are open to children ages 7 to 10. Tuition of $60 ($54 for Clark members) includes all materials. For more information or to register, visit IS183.org or call 413 298 5252.
