Decorative Arts Family Day
Sunday, March 24, 2013
12:00 pm
Join us for a free family day celebrating the decorative arts in the Clark's collection. Learn about some of the Clark's treasures of silver, porcelain, glass, and wood, and enjoy art projects, demonstrations, activities, and more. See craftsmen demonstrate their talents, including master silversmith Stephen P. Smithers, master carpenter Hugh Glover, and glass and ceramic artists. Create a unique piece of art by making a fancy tile or decorating a mirror with stenciling. Participate in a decorative food workshop, join a gallery talk and ask an expert about strange treasures, and sing along with ever-popular local band The Wandering Rocks.
