Harpsichordist Victor Hill will play Partita in D major by Johann Sebastian Bach and Suite in D minor by Elisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre (1665-1729).
Hill is the Thomas T. Read Professor of Mathematics, Emeritus, at Williams College and the founder and director of Griffin Hall Concerts. He studied in Amsterdam with the renowned Dutch harpsichordist Gustav Leonhardt, and has played more than 900 concerts in the United States and in Europe. He plays the harpsichord that was custom-built for him in 1997 by Richard Kingston, based on 18th century French and Flemish instruments.
