Group Visits

The Clark welcomes group visits. Special services are available for groups and can be booked to suit your group’s needs and interests. Please leave additional time to revisit the galleries and the Museum Shop. There are no indoor facilities for group meals, but groups may picnic outdoors in good weather. You may also want to allow time to hike on our well-maintained nature trails.

School Groups

The Clark welcomes school group visits from students of all ages. The Clark's goal is to encourage students to look carefully at works of art, to think and talk about them, and to enjoy the process.

Gallery talks can enhance student learning in general, by helping students to develop skills such as observation, analysis, and reasoning. Talks may also be tailored to support particular areas of the school curriculum (art and science or paintings as historical evidence, for example) or classroom projects such as art and creative writing or a focus on the environment or weather. Please see our list of popular themes for Gallery Talk topics. School group talks and transportation to and from the Clark are free of charge. Educators wishing to arrange a school group visit should fill out this form.

To plan a school visit, please see the Teacher Guidelines.

Adult Groups

Gallery talks are available for groups of ten or more that give at least two weeks advance notice. Guides for adult groups are $50 per guide (limit 25 people per guide) plus admission. Talks usually last about one hour. While the general talk does not include temporary exhibitions, talks can be customized to your group’s particular interests.
