Jenny Reynaerts

Jenny Reynaerts (Fall, 2011) is senior curator of eighteenth- and nineteenth-century paintings at the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam. Before joining the museum in 2003, she was assistant professor in Modern Art History at the University of Amsterdam. Recent exhibitions include Masters of Dutch Romanticism (Kunsthal, Rotterdam 2005) and Der Weite Blick, The Hague School painting and industrial photography in (Munich, Neue Pinakothek and Kunsthal, Rotterdam). She curated Rembrandt and Degas: Two Young Artists (Rijksmuseum, Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute, Williamstown, Massachusetts (November 2011) and Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. At the Clark she will work on her book, the first overview of nineteenth-century Dutch painting since 1948.
