Yiqiang Cao

Cao Yiqiang is professor of art at the National Academy of Art, Hangzhou, and specially appointed professor of the history of ideas at Nanjing Normal University. A propelling force among Chinese art historians working to translate English-language art history, Cao has committed his scholarship to advancing and enriching the techniques of Chinese art history. Cao spent a ten-month fellowship term researching the "Unintended Consequences of Tourism: Kang Youwei's Italian Journey (1904) and the Art Revolution in China."
