Alexander Babin

Alexander Babin is curator of nineteenth-century French painting at the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia.  Babin's work is devoted mainly to the work of Barbizon School painters and to the works of Picasso, the latter under the theme "Picasso and the Painters of the Russian Avant-Garde."  At the Clark, Babin worked closely with curators at the Norman Rockwell Museum, Stockbridge, on an exhibition of the work of Rockwell Kent.  He also hosted organizers of the Maxfield Parrish retrospective that premiered at the Brooklyn Museum of Art.
