Library Hours and Access

Public Hours
The Library is open to the public:

Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Closed Saturday and Sunday

The Library is closed to the public (including holders of readers' cards) on the following holidays:

Labor Day
Thanksgiving (2 days)
Christmas (2 days)
New Year's Day
Memorial Day
Independence Day

Access
All readers must sign in and out at the Library monitor's station, located inside which is the main entrance to the Library. Books are non-circulating but accessible in open stacks.

Readers' Cards
Extended hours are available to holders of readers' cards. Readers' cards are issued, upon application at the reference desk, to Williams College faculty and undergraduates. A limited number of cards are also issued to qualified independent researchers upon application. Clark ID cards issued to Clark Fellows, to students in the Clark/Williams Graduate Program in the History of Art, and to Clark staff also serve as readers' cards.
