Views of Étretat the Subject of May 30 Talk

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA, (May 24, 2001) - The famous cliffs of Étretat will be the subject of the final session in the Clark Art Institute's mini-course "Looking Twice, Seeing Double" on Wednesday, May 30, at 3:30 p.m. Curator of education Michael Cassin will compare views of Étretat by Italian artist Giovanni Boldini (1842-1931) and French Impressionist artist Claude Monet (1840-1926). The slide talk will be followed by time to view the paintings in the galleries. Cost for the session is $6 ($5 for members). The talk is open to the public; pre-registration is suggested. Cassin will offer another mini-course, "Making a Good Impression - a Short History of Printmaking Techniques," in the fall.
