Based in Manchester, Vermont, the Manchester Music Festival was founded in 1984 as a nonprofit organization dedicated to presenting classical music performance at the highest level and classical music education at all levels, both aspects seeking to engage the public and encourage enjoyment of this art form. Today, the festival’s spirited performances, featuring faculty and outstanding special guests, have created an enthusiastic audience with a taste and desire for fine music in the classical tradition.

Performing at the Clark will be Joana Genova on violin, Ariel Rudiakov on viola, Maxine Neuman on cello, Dimitri Rudiakov on bassoon (August 14 only), and Shoshana Rudiakov on piano.

The August 14 program features works for violin, viola, cello, bassoon, and piano, and includes W.A. Mozart’s Duet in G Major, K.423, Mikhail Glinka’s Trio Pathetique, and Robert Quartet for Piano and Strings in E Flat Major, Op.47.

August 28 program features works for violin, viola, cello, and piano, and includes movements from Handel-Halvorsen’s Passacaglia, Three Madrigals for violin and viola, and Trio for piano and strings in e minor, Op. 90 “Dumky.”

Admission June 1 through October 31 is $12.50 for adults, free for children 18 and under, members, and students with valid ID. Admission is free November through May.
