Clark Art Institute Admission Free through June 30, 2001

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA (November 1, 2000) – Admission to the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute will be free from November 1 through June 30. Free admission includes all permanent collection galleries and the current special exhibitions Piece by Piece: Putting Art Together, Taking Art Apart and Interventions: Griselda Pollock Looks at Alfred Stevens. Some events and special exhibitions may have an additional fee. Winter hours are Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.Among the free public programs offered by the Clark this season are the family program "Piece by Piece by Piece" on November 5, a family holiday event on December 2, and the lunchtime lecture series "Desert Island Pictures" offered on the second Thursday of every month at 12:30 p.m. A free children's activity guide is also available.
