Clark Museum Shop Offers Special Holiday Discounts for Members

Coinciding with Williamstown’s Holiday Walk Weekend, the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute’s museum shop will offer a special discount to members of the Clark. On Saturday and Sunday, December 9 and 10, from 10 am to 5 pm, members will receive a 25% discount on all purchases. The shop has a vast selection of unique, educational, and fun merchandise, with items perfect for any age, from toys for toddlers to books for art lovers. Gift certificates are available.
Holiday-themed items include advent calendars, ornaments, and a diverse selection of Christmas, Hanukkah, and seasonal greeting cards, including eye-catching three-dimensional die cut varieties.
The current exhibition, Alpine Views: Alexandre Calame and the Swiss Landscape,has inspired a special “Swiss Shop” section with Swiss-themed items including watches, Toblerone chocolate, clocks, and much more. There is a special section of books on Switzerland and the Alpine Views exhibition catalogue is fully stocked.
Want to give a gift that sparkles? Choose from necklaces, earrings, pins, and bracelets, some locally made, and some twinkling of amber and Venetian glass. Art-inspired calendars, silk ties and scarves, picture frames, note card sets, framed prints, paperweights, switchplates, cutting boards, chocolate, and playing cards add to the wide variety of items. Find works of art in the Clark’s collection adorning mouse pads, magnets, pocket mirrors, note cards, and more. The Clark museum shop’s extensive selection of books ranges from art, fashion, and photography, to travel guides to the Berkshires and beyond. Biographies, fiction, and date and address books round out the diverse assortment of over 2,000 books.

Williamstown’s Holiday Walk Weekend of festivities with traditional New England flair includes old-fashioned caroling, a parade, horse-drawn carriage rides, a penny social, holiday movies and more. Join with family and friends and herald the upcoming winter solstice at the Clark’s annual holiday concert on Friday, December 8 at 8 pm. The Clark’s auditorium will be filled with the new age sounds of the Grammy Award–winning Paul Winter Consort. The performance is based on the group’s popular solstice concert that takes the listener on a symbolic journey throughout the world on the longest night of the year. Winter’s annual solstice concert is performed at St. John the Divine in New York City and broadcast via National Public Radio. His album based on the performance won a Grammy Award as Best New Age Album. Tickets for the Clark concert are $25 ($20 for members) and can be purchased at the museum store or reserved by calling 413-458-0524.
The Clark is located at 225 South Street in Williamstown, Massachusetts. The galleries are open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm (daily in July and August). Admission is free November through May. Admission June 1 through October 31 is $12.50 for adults, free for children 18 and younger, members, and students with valid ID.
