Free Gallery Series for New Parents Continues at the Clark
For Immediate Release
January 18, 2006
New mothers (and fathers too) are invited to a special gallery talk at the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute on Friday, February 3 at 10 am. New parents, along with their babies and small children, will enjoy a relaxing hour discovering and discussing art in the Clark collection. In this series, members of the Clark staff will explore a variety of subjects offering an “escape into art” for new parents. This lecture, most appropriate for parents with pre-toddlers, is the fourth in a free five-part series.
Strollers are available; parents may also bring their own strollers or carry their children in the galleries. To ensure the safety of the works of art, backpack-style infant carriers are not permitted in the galleries. Front-hanging carriers are welcome.
The New Mothers Gallery Talks are held the first Friday of the month November through March.
The Clark is located at 225 South Street in Williamstown, Massachusetts. The galleries are open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm (daily in July and August). Admission is free November through May. Admission June 1 through October 31 is $10 for adults, free for children 18 and younger, members, and students with valid ID.
