Clark to Offer Gallery Talk for New Mothers January 7

For Immediate Release

December 28, 2004

New mothers are invited to a special gallery talk at the Clark Art Institute on Friday, January 7, at 10 a.m. Mothers are welcome to bring babies and small children for a relaxing hour looking at and talking about art in the Clark collection. Strollers are available; mothers may also bring their own strollers or carry their children in the galleries. Admission is free.

To ensure the safety of the works of art, backpack-style infant carriers are not permitted in the galleries. Front-hanging carriers are welcome.

The Clark offers the new mother's program on the first Friday of each month, November through May. The topic varies from month to month. January's topic is "Youth and Aging."

The Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute is located at 225 South Street in Williamstown, Massachusetts. The galleries are open Tuesday through Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Gallery admission free through May. For more information call 413-458-2303 or visit www.clarkart.edu.
