For Immediate Release

August 10, 2011

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA—Start your weekend early with Club 7 at the most interesting architectural marvel in the Berkshires—Tadao Ando’s “7 Wall” at the Clark’s Stone Hill Center—on Thursday, August 18 at 5:00 pm. Music will be provided by The Burdens, goodgood, and the Wandering Rocks as you relax with friends over drinks and snacks. Club 7 is free; a cash bar will be provided.

Described as a cross between Wilco and Yo La Tengo, the Massachusetts guitar/drum indie rock duo The Burdens have played notable venues, including The Knitting Factory, The Iron Horse, and The Main Stage at Mass MoCa. Their CD Living It Up features 15 original songs that have been described as “the best kind of rock and roll: smart, original, deceptively catchy” (Berkshire Living Magazine).

goodgood delivers cathartic, indie anthems and braided vocal harmonies, musical chemistry and a sense of humor. They smile while they kick your shins with bittersweet gloom pop. Members of goodgood include Sarah McNair (ukulele, vocals) and Jason McNair (bass), and David Edge (guitar, vocals).

Wandering Rocks is a group of friends from Williamstown who found each other singing around kitchen tables.  Band members Karl Mullen, Sarah McNair, and Jackie Sedlock play evocative melodies with slyly nuanced harmonies in barns, living rooms and pop-up venues—the more unconventional the better.

The Clark is located at 225 South Street in Williamstown, Massachusetts. The galleries are open Tuesday through Sunday, 10 am to 5 pm (daily in July and August). Admission is $15 June 1 through October 31. Admission is free for children 18 and younger, members, and students with valid ID. Admission is free November through May.
