Popular Local Band The Sister City Jazz Ambassadors to Perform at the Clark

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA—The Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute’s lineup of outdoor summer band concerts continues on Tuesday, July 19 at 6:00 pm with the popular local band The Sister City Jazz Ambassadors. Bring your family and friends, a picnic basket, and a blanket for this free concert sponsored by Williamstown Savings Bank. Barbecue fare will be available for purchase and the galleries will remain open until 6:00 pm. In the event of rain, the concert will be held in the auditorium.

The Sister City Jazz Ambassadors performs a wide range of jazz music, from New Orleans style to modern jazz fusion. Led by Pittsfield guitarist/banjo player Andy Kelly, the group has performed in Ireland, Nicaragua, Italy, and Istanbul. The band also features Charlie Tokarz (clarinet/saxophone), Woody Stoebeck (trombone), Daniel Aalberts (vocalis), Steve Swoap (tuba), John Haddad (drums), Rob Fisch (trumpet), and Lyndon Moors (clarinet), many of whom are music teachers as well as performers.

The Clark is located at 225 South Street in Williamstown, Massachusetts. The galleries are open Tuesday through Sunday, 10 am to 5 pm (daily in July and August). Admission is $15 June 1 through October 31. Admission is free for children 18 and younger, members, and students with valid ID. Admission is free November through May.
