Clark To Offer Free Admission November 1-June 26

Beginning tomorrow, the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute will return to free admission for the winter and spring. Admission to the Clark galleries, including all permanent collection and special exhibitions, is free November 1, 2003 through June 26, 2004. The Clark is open Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Year's Day).

The Clark Art Institute currently features the exhibition Édouard Baldus: Landscape and Leisure in Early French Photography. Highlights of the permanent collection include French Impressionist paintings by Renoir, Monet, Degas, and Pissarro; American paintings by Homer, Sargent, and Remington; and European paintings by such artists as Piero della Francesca, Rubens, Goya, and Fragonard. Selections from the Institute's extensive collections of silver, porcelain, and furniture are also on view.
